A budget can be defined as an estimate of income and expenditure over a period of time. The budget enables you to have control over your spending. So the savings can be increased. It helps in attaining financial goals. Sample budgets are budget plans.
SAMPLE BUDGETS:
A budget must have two main categories namely INCOME and EXPENDITURE. They can be broken into sub headings. The sources of income can be split up like rent, interest that re received, salary, and dividend etc. the expenditures side can be split into Food, Education, Rent, Electricity, Entertainment, insurance, Groceries etc. The main aim of preparation of sample budgets is to increase your savings. So it is compulsory that you have three different columns for each and every item in the budget. They are budgeted amount, actual amount, saved amount. If the budgeted amount in an item in the expenditure side is more than the actual amount then the difference between the two amounts is your savings. If the actual amount in an item in expenditure side is greater than the actual amount then it is a loss and you can give a negative sign for that amount. So when you add all the positive amounts and subtract the negative amounts you get the net savings amount.
Preparing sample budgets are very easy in this internet world. Many sample budget forms are available online. You just have to download them. You have to fill in the columns available in the sample budget sheet and your budget is ready. Some sample budgets also come with options of auto calculation and you are even relieved of adding and subtracting jobs. To prepare sample budgets you must record all your expenditures and income for the budgeting period. After categorizing your expenditure as mentioned above record the expenditure incurred in the related category. If there are any extra expenditure that does not fall under any of these category include them under another category called miscellaneous. Analyze the budget by comparing the actual and budgeted amount. Find which type of expenditure is the maximum and find where expenditure cuts could be made. For example only when you write all your entertainment expenses under entertainment category you may realize the amount you spend for entertainment is an unreasonable amount. So you will be able to control your expenditure by preparing sample budgets. So sample budgets are very useful tools for financial control. Prepare one and increase your savings. |
